Little Known Technique To write Newsy Headlines That Sell

Hi,

I’ve got a BIG tip for you today.

I have heard from several of my subscribers that they are having trouble writing great headlines for sales pages, emails, etc. Do you cringe when you have to come up with a great headline?

Here’s a great technique that not everyone is using that will give you instant ideas for great newsy headlines that will come up in searches and grab your readers attention.

Go to digg.com and click on the rss icon, it’s the little orange square at the top right of the page.

Then, make sure the pull down menu says Live Bookmarks and click subscribe now.

On the box that pops up, in the “create in” field, make sure it says Bookmarks Toolbar. Then click Add.

Next, go to your “view” pulldown menu at the top of your browser and go to “toolbars” and make sure your bookmarks toolbar is checked.

That’s it, you should now have a link on your browsers bookmark toolbar that says “digg.com: Stories/Po…”

Click on that link and you will get a pulldown list of all of the top headlines for the day at digg.com.

Just take the headlines that are there and twist them to suit your purpose. For instance, The digg.com headline “7 Ways To Relieve Stress Instantly” could become “7 Ways To Instantly Attract 500 Blog Visitors”.

I hope this helps you write better headlines easier, take care!

Questions And Misconceptions About The Internet Marketing Niche, Part 2

If you didn’t get to read part 1 go here.

I was on a call a few days ago with Mark Ling of Affilorama and he covered some really cool things about the internet marketing/make money niche. Here is the continuation:

In the IM niche the traffic and leads typically convert better than in other niches, so where in the dog training niche, lets say, you may have 200,000 subscribers and make 2 or 3 dollars per subscriber which is a lot of money, but in the IM niche you can have a list of say 18,000 and make 50 or 60 dollars per subscriber. I know a guy that makes over 30,000 dollars per month with an IM list of only 2000 people, that’s insane! He works hard and provides quality products, but how long do you think it took him to build that list? Not long at all.

Once you get your feet wet in the IM niche and learn what triggers and approaches people respond to, you will be a lot more likely to do well in other niches. If you try to use the same approach you are using in another niche in the IM niche, chances are that it will not be as effective as learning the ropes in the IM niche.

It is very easy to build a list in this niche at the same time you are making sales of affiliate products or your own products. When people see quality info and products and that your list isn’t just another automated pitching machine, they will respond. They will want to be on your list to see what you will have for them next, so they wont mind giving up their email address for a good free gift. Point your advertising to a squeeze page with a video, audio, or just great copy telling them what they are going to get when they join your list. Give them a taste of it then when they optin give them the rest. Then, once they have opted into your list and received their gift forward them to your sales page. You would be surprised how many of those people will buy, especially if your gift pre-wets their appetite for the paid product.

A lot of people overlook some excellent long tail keywords because they don’t get a ton of searches per month. In other niches your keywords need to get a lot of monthly searches but in the IM niche that isn’t exactly true. You can rank fairly easily in the search engines with long tail keywords that don’t get more than a couple hundred searches per month and still make good money from the traffic. It doesn’t really take all that much traffic in the IM niche to make money as long as it is targeted traffic.

I hope you have gotten a few good nuggets of information you can use from this article, I learned a lot from Mark and I will be following what he does from now on.
